As a growing organization, CAASE has a small number of volunteer and internship opportunities available. Please read the following information and download and submit an application to kbeilstein@caase.org.

Prevention and Community Engagement Internships
CAASE has relationships with the social work programs at the following schools and primarily recruits master’s students for 9-12 month internships from:

  • University of Illinois at Chicago
  • University of Chicago
  • Loyola University
  • Dominican University
  • Chicago School of Professional Psychology

Applicants from other schools will be considered only if an individual has an expertise that meets one of CAASE’s programmatic needs.For the summer months of June, July and August CAASE accepts undergraduate interns as well. All applicants must be able to interview in person.
All Prevention and Community Engagement internships have been filled for the summer of 2013.

Policy Internships
CAASE also accepts interns in its Policy and Advocacy department. These individuals must be studying or have studied public policy. We are currently accepting applications for policy interns for Fall of 2013.

Legal Internships
For the academic school year CAASE accepts law students for 4-12 month internships for 10-15 hours per week. For the summer months of June, July and August CAASE accepts law students for full time internships. All applicants must be able to interview in person and provide three references upon request. Please note, we have filled all Summer 2013 legal internships. There are still positions available for Spring 2013 legal interns, so please apply!

Communications Internships
For communications internships CAASE accepts both undergraduate and graduate students who are studying communications, public relations, journalism or related fields. Learn more by helping a small-but-mighty non-profit manage our social media presence, websites, media relations and more. We are seeking Spring and Summer of 2013 communications interns.
